Little Risers

Childcare

Hello, I’m Hannah

I am the owner of Little Risers Childcare.

A qualified teacher with over 18 years experience in the classroom, I aim to provide unique and exciting learning experiences within a safe, inclusive and inspiring environment in order to foster a life-long love of learning!

I have enjoyed a long career in main stream secondary and sixth form education however, during the COVID lockdown spent with my own small children, I had time to reassess my role within education. I realised that the place I could make the greatest difference to a child's future was working within an early years setting as the formative years are pivotal in determining success in future life.

Little Risers was established in 2023. We are OFSTED registered and provide term-time care for 0-5 year olds.

Our assistant Hannah

Yes two Hannahs!

Hannah joined Little Risers in November 2023 and is adored by all the children for her bundles of energy and enthusiasm. She is currently in her final year of university reading BA Hons in Childhood and Early Years and she brings a wealth of knowledge having worked in nursery and nannying settings alongside her studies.

Our Setting

Little Risers Garden

We have a large enclosed and secure garden for your little one to explore.

Aside from the large lawned area, we have a sheltered play area with a multi-levelled pirate ship, slide, mud kitchen, musical equipment and giant chalking board!

Indoor Playroom

“An environment should feel like an extension of home and not a watered down version of school.”

The Curiosity Approach

Our designated playroom is inspired by The Curiosity Approach, Reggio Emilia and Montessori. We draw heavily on natural materials, aiming to create a calming ‘yes’ space in which children can explore freely and confidently.

Outdoor Learning

The Little Risers spend as much time in the outdoors as possible, whatever the weather!

Playing in nature is a feast for their senses, teaching them so much about the world around them as well as promoting general fitness, motor skills, creativity and coordination.

In addition to our continuous provision, each half term we explore three key books linked to our topic.

Big Day Out

Each half term we enjoy a big day out to somewhere further afield. See our gallery for places we’ve been!

Learning through child-led play to develop life-long skills including independence, curiosity, problem solving and resilience.

Exploring Nature

Learning about the importance of nature and taking care of the environment building a social conscience from an early age.

Daily Schedule

EY Works

“Routine in early years helps children feel safe and secure in their environment, gives them a sense of security and stability, and offers children an opportunity to get excited about what’s ahead. Establishing a consistent routine for young children lays the foundation for their overall development, fostering not just physical health but also nurturing mental and emotional wellbeing.”

Testimonials

We absolutely adore Hannah and we value her so much. Hannah provides the most loving, unique and special experience for our son, he has opportunities with Hannah that we don’t even provide at home. With Hannah, our son has home cooked meals, baby classes, craft activities, bus journeys and curriculum inspired learning adventures. Hannah sends us pictures and videos and we get daily updates on request so we know what our son has been doing every day. The experience with Hannah is above and beyond what any nursery setting could offer. We have seen him come on leaps and bounds with Hannah and we feel confident and secure in the knowledge that Hannah is providing our son with care that is as good and as loving as the care that we provide him at home.

Little G‘s Mummy & Daddy

“Little Risers is amazing! Our little one absolutely loves it and looks forward to seeing his friends each week.

Hannah is incredible. She is kind, patient and our little one adores her!

From day trips out to fun in the garden, everything is planned to perfection with our little ones in mind! We recommend Little Risers to everyone” ❤️

Little F’s Mummy

“Little risers has been an amazing experience for our little one.

Hannah really thinks of everything, I have had so many nice gifts for fathers day etc. but the biggest gift is the photos she shares of our little one making friends and creating memories.

He sleeps all night after he has been aswell! Which is always a bonus!”

Little F’s Daddy

Wow, what can I say about Little Risers childcare except the fact that I wish I could attend too!

Hannah and her assistant Hannah are some of the most welcoming, patient and kind people I have met and were made to work in childcare. My daughter has been lucky enough to visit such wonderful places during her time at Little Risers, including; museums and play cafes. Hannah has such a calming nature and her provision is outstanding. The opportunities for sensory play, rhyme time, library visits and topic based content is so carefully thought through to ensure my little girl makes progress in a safe and stimulating environment.

There is so much attention and thought given to the smallest details; the keepsakes I receive for Mother’s/Father’s Day etc are so sweet and child made.

We adore Little Risers Childcare so much, I drop my daughter off each morning with a smile on my face as my daughter waves goodbye in Hannah’s arms happy and content. There’s no better or more comforting feeling than knowing your child is in such safe hands.

I would recommend this setting to all who are considering sending their child here.

Testimonials

“Little Risers has been the most amazing setting for our little boy. They are always out and about whether it be exploring the world, going to the library, going to music hub or playing in the fantastic garden Hannah has for them. Our little boy is well looked after, safe and loved and we couldn’t ask for anymore!”

Little C’s Mummy

The care and development of my little girl is outstanding. She has come to Little Risers from being just under a year old and in my opinion, she is in a safe and caring environment doing activities that are both fun and educational. There is a so much variety of food and snacks on the menu too.

A happy child makes a happy parent and I would 100% recommend Little Risers !

Thank you from little L’s mam 😘
